Steam price and launch discount
The official Steam store listed the full game at $29.99 when checked on October 17, 2026. The launch offer reduced it by 20% to $23.99. Steam states that this introductory offer ends on October 30.
Prices in other currencies are set regionally and can differ from a direct conversion. Check the store in your own region for the exact amount. Taxes may also apply at checkout.
Playing with PC Game Pass
Xbox Wire listed Beyond These Stars for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate on October 16, 2026. That gives subscribers access without buying the game separately. Access lasts while the title stays in the catalog and your subscription is active.
The listing covers the PC version. It does not confirm an Xbox console or cloud version. Our Game Pass guide lists what to check before subscribing.
Try the free demo first
The free demo on Steam covers the opening systems, including settlement, perks and the Player Guide. It does not include the full game’s later planets and story. Reviewers mention a steep learning curve, so the demo is a useful test.
If you enjoy managing production chains in the demo, the full game expands them considerably. If the demo already feels demanding, read our beginner guide before deciding. Demo progress should not be assumed to transfer.
What the price includes
The Steam edition includes Story Mode, Sandbox Mode and 64 Steam achievements. Steam also lists Trading Cards, Steam Cloud saves and Family Sharing. No DLC or season pass was listed at launch.
The game is single-player and supports 15 languages. English has full audio, while the other languages have interface and subtitles. Windows 10 64-bit is the listed minimum operating system.
Buy now or wait?
The launch discount is the clearest saving announced so far. No later sale date has been announced, and future sales are not guaranteed. If the reviews match what you want, the window before October 30 is the time to decide.
Early critic scores are positive, and Steam showed a Positive user rating on launch week. Read our review roundup for the main praise and complaints. The Before We Leave comparison helps if you know the studio’s earlier game.
